How to Buy

Registration and Bidding

You are required to pay a non-refundable monthly subscription fee, in order to bid on auction boats on this website. The subscription can be cancelled at any time. We have a number of separate websites for different types of vehicles, and each requires a separate subscription. If you subscribe to, you can only bid on boats at auction on this site only. A dealer license is not required to bid on or purchase boats at auction, nor are you required to be a resident of the USA or Canada. If you are viewing an auto auction and are registered, but cannot place offers, you must log in, go to the My Account page and pay your subscription fee. Only after the subscription is paid you will be able to place bids at auction for boats.

Security Deposit & Proof of Identity

If you hold the highest bid on a salvage boat or any other boat for auction, you must immediately pay a security deposit. The amount of the security deposit is $400.00 USD or 10% of your bid, whichever is higher, per vehicle. You must pay the security deposit before Copart’s virtual auction start time, along with a copy of your driver’s license if you reside in the USA or Canada, or a copy of your passport if you are an international buyer. (The ID/Passport must be valid, clear and easy to read). This is required so the affiliate dealer can try to purchase the vehicle on your behalf at Copart’s Virtual Auction. If your offer is high enough to win the auction, and the seller awards the vehicle, the amount you paid as security deposit is applied towards the payment of the vehicle, if you lose then you can request a security deposit refund. You may also keep the security deposit in your account fund if you would like to use it toward a future purchase, for up to 60 days.

Purchasing Process

The affiliate dealer will make every attempt to keep purchase price of the auction boat you have bid on below your maximum bid. When bidding, the affiliate dealer will only bid one increment over the current bid during the course of the auction. If you are the successful bidder, you will pay your Copart and broker’s transaction fees in addition to the final sales price. Please see See fees table to determine this amount. Keep in mind while bidding that you are not the only person that is bidding on a particular auctions boats. With this, you want to make sure that your bid is the maximum you are willing to pay minus any fees. This will ensure that we have enough room to bid on the vehicle to give you a better chance of winning it.

Vehicle Payment, Documents and Release

Once the purchase of the auction car has been successful, you will receive a Purchase Confirmation email. It will clearly list all the information you will need to pay the purchase price, including all applicable fees. You will also receive a Vehicle Documents email containing all paperwork that requires your signature. These documents need to be signed and returned to us immediate. You will have two (2) business days from the purchase date to pay the amount due. Any payments after that will be subject to a $50.00 USD late fee imposed by Copart. BUY IT NOW PURCHASES must be paid for the day of the sale or you will be charged the $50 late payment fee, if it is not paid on the same day. You will have six (6) calendar days to pick the vehicle up, or Copart will impose a $20.00 USD per day storage fee (including weekends and holidays). Once we receive full payment and all necessary documents with your signature, we will send you as well as Copart, a Vehicle Release Authorization. Once you have received this authorization you can pick up the vehicle from the Copart facility it is located. Keep in mind that we do not provide shipping, so you want to arrange to have the vehicle picked up or pick it up yourself the day you receive the Vehicle Release Authorization. If you use a shipping or towing company, they will need a copy of the form as well.

Please remember all auctions of boats are done by Copart, we are just bidding on your behalf. ALL VEHICLES SOLD AT AUCTION ARE “AS IS-WHERE IS”. ALL OFFERS ARE BINDING AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL. What this Means. If you have any questions in regards to anything above, please read the FAQs and the Terms and Conditions page before registering, or email us with any questions.

I want to thank you for a very nice and smooth transaction on my first purchase. The pickup went smooth and was impressed on the service I received from both you and Copart. My only request would be that you add location to the featured listing of vehicles.
Thank you

I would like to thank you again for the service that you provided me with. I think it's great. Everything was laid out well and followed through with. Very professional! There are too many scams out there today that are making internet shopping very difficult and untrustworthy. It's nice to know that some things are still real. I would definitely do business with you again. I will refer you to others I know as well. You guys are the best! Thank you so much for all your help. If anyone is hesitant about doing business with you, send them my way! I'll have nothing but good things to say about you people. You have made this experience very comforting for me and I had no idea what I was getting into! Thanks again! Hopefully the next time we communicate, I'll be buying another vehicle through you!
